Manhattan Valley Viaduct, Completed

Dublin Core

Title

Manhattan Valley Viaduct, Completed

Description

The completed Manhattan Valley Viaduct, looking west along what appears to be 125th St (known then as Manhattan St.), based on the presence of the streetcar tracks (Third Avenue Railway had tracks along 125th St, but some images in the NYC Municipal archives are labeled with "129th St". Both streets converge close to this point on Broadway, so perhaps it was used as a point of reference (the northern end of the viaduct?) even though the wide street in the image seems to be 125th St.?
